Hello Dah-lings!
I hope you are giddy with school-girlish excitement to see 'Die! Mommie! Die!' next weekend! We are all working very hard to bring you a retina burning, highly theatrical, acid trip experience! My evolution into Angela is progressing nicely, the costumes are FAB, my "lady parts" are fully formed, and last night, with the help and immense support of the cast and crew (all crammed into KC's tiny tiny bathroom) my legs are now smooth like honey.
On the acting front I have been working on thinking on the line and keeping every moment fresh. Pacing is so very important in a comedy and if the "ball is dropped" it is very difficult to pick it up again. By recommendation of Ami, before our run yesterday, I walked through every physical moment of the play, while listening to my Angela Arden Mix to be sure to block out any distractions. This exercise really helped free me during the run because after walking through every technical moment, every look, grand entrance, cringe, strut, and so on, came naturally whilst I could enjoy sharing the stage with such an obnoxiously talented scoobie-doo gang!
And now for my conclusion! KC and I are plotting to kidnap all of our fellow Die! Mommie! Die!-ers because, well, who wouldn't want to kidnap us, we're as fun as a discotheque in Barcelona. This isn't the last you will hear of Angela Arden, stay tuned for more!
Chao,
Z
