The greatest experience!

Hi y'all!!!

Your Assistant Director speaking :) Honestly, i havent been blogging nearly as close as i've been thinking about and living everything that's been going on in the D!M!D! experience... However, i'd like to excuse myself by letting you know that i'm totally old fashioned, all about letters and a little computer illiterate so i just figured this thing out, haha.

Anyway... i also tend to write WAY too much, so i'm gonna try to keep it as short as possible!
Can i just say how freakin' amazing this experience has been?! I've been having the greatest time, learning so much, and living things that'd i'd never dreamed of. We have the most phenomenal sense of ensemble and every night it's a pleasure to go to rehearsal and see everyone grow - as performers, as professionals, as friends, as human beings... There isn't a better feeling in the world like seeing this happening in front of your very eyes!

Again, trying to keep it as short as possible, i'd like to say a little something to each individual person involved in this:

Joel and Jerid (aka best props guys ever!) - you guys' detail and perfection has made our props the coolest! And as if that wasn't enough... you are so much fun to work with! There isn't a day that you are around that i don't crack up laughing histerically. Thank you for all your help :)

Alex Amyot (our dear technical director) - sometimes i feel like people have no idea how hard you work to make our life easier... after a lot of thought and specially sweat and saw dust in that shop, the set looks awesome! Oh, and you're also the coolest boss! Thank you for everything :)

Sam (our "everything" guy) - you're always around for the best and the worst, if there's an issue you figure it out, always with that sneeky smile on your face, and for that we thank you :) Best "bitch" around... (for those who don't know Sam... that's a term of endearment!)

Lindsay (our Bootsie) - your character choices crack the hell out of me and the funny thing is... you do that in real life too! You bring so much life with you every night and pump up the energy anywhere you go! You're so interesting to watch on stage and... Thank you for being the best maid ever :)

Timothy (our Sol) - I know you can't take a complement but... you're great! Just accept it! If anyone does their "homework" well, its this guy! Whenever i'm not with you at rehearsal, i see you around in the lobby, studying your lines or going over directing notes and.. you know what.. i'ts working, better than you know! Thank you for your hard work and great character development :)

Margo (our Edie) - You're a brain! I can't even begin to tell you how much your intelligence added to the character! And, on top of that, you're fun, daring and have such a good heart. Thank you for everything you bring to the table every night my darling, it makes a difference :)

Griff (our Lance) - I can't even begin to tell you how exciting it is to work with you... You're not only portraying Lance as it should be portrayed, but you're always willing to question, learn and commit, and the great thing is, you get happy about it! Thank you for being so easy to work with while having fun at the same time :)

Nick (our Tony Parker) - What can i say? A few months ago it would've never crossed my mind that i'd be working with you so closely... But i am, and let me say that your commitment to this role, your positive energy and attitude and our one on one (or two on one - with Zack) sections make me smile! It's incredible watching you improve everyday and, most of all, watching the effort you put into it. It's been worth it man, you don't even know, and i cant wait to see the final product! Thank you for the times and commitment :)

Zack (our Angie) - Oh my God! I could write all day in this thing about you... Sometimes i feel like you have no idea how great you are. If anyone should have an ego it would be this guy, but you don't and that's what makes you special among talent. You're the quickest to follow direction, your commitment and hard work are unbelievable and i will just have to stop now because this could go on forever! Thank you, for everything that you give us all :) Damn, almost forgot.. you're prettier!!!

Miles (our Tony understudy and, according to him - best AD) - You know i love you! And i do for a reason.. you do your work, with a smile on your face and a hug in your arms, and you do it well! What more can a person ask to work with?! Having you around is freakin' fantastic and i couldn't be more thrilled to have you on the team! Thank you for being the coolest ever :)

Emily (our ASM) - Oh my God, how i love this girl... Your giggles, your good heart and fun personality make the day of a lot of people. And on top of that, you commit yourself to whatever is asked of you. Working with you has been a pleasure, and the fact that you do your work while being the sweetest and giggliest thing alive makes it even better! Thank you for the moments you give us :)

KC (best SM in the whole wide world) - Man, if i could describe this girl in one word it would be "perfection"! You placed us in the professional world, you steped up UT to another level, your level of commitment and professionalism is of another world, and the greatest thing is.. you do it while being so much fun to work with! I could never believe there could be such a combination, until i met you! Thank you for... everything :)

Our tech people - you sweat and work hard to build our set, and you do it in a happy fun way, and we couldn't be more grateful for all that you've been doing :)

And, last but not least - AMI (our awesome director) - I cannot thank you enough for this opportunity! Ami, you're the coolest, awesomest, most unique director i've ever met, and the greatest thing is that you surprise me every day and teach me stuff that i had never thought of. Working with you has been the most incredible experience i've had in my life and i still cant believe it. You created this incredible environment, this crazy awesome sense of ensemble, this masterpiece of creativeness. Thank you thank you thank you :)

Well, i think this is enough but... To everyone else... come see this show... you wont regret it because.. the connection we have among each other, transforms into talent and ultimately transforms into connection with you, our audience :)
